Following his bestselling Your Erroneous Zones , et seq., this encouraging, helpful volume augurs an increase in Dyer's audience. Citing the wisdom of ancient and modern philosophers, the author adds incidents from his experiences to illustrate the benefits of spiritual guidance and possibilities of transformation. Serendipity, or what Dyer believes are miracles, have given him riches that he declares are available to all. He counsels that one must first see the human as a soul with a body--not the reverse--to realize supposedly impossible dreams. Dyer describes the blessings he and others have gained from getting rid of anger, fears and the desire for revenge: impedimenta to the good life. The advice, while generalized, is not simplistic and will, on the evidence he adduces, likely convert many doubters to Dyer's faith in a universe ruled by a divine provi dence. Transformation of the mind into a new concept of self is the theme of Dyer's latest book. Combining New Age ideas with psychological insights, Dyer, author of many popular psychology titles including Your Erroneous Zones, uses anecdotes and quotes to support his idea that creative visualization, the oneness of the universe, positive thinking, and synchronicity are vehicles to a leap of consciousness. Although many of these subjects have been explored by other authors, Dyer clearly explains his theory that people are thoughts and that thought is the ultimate reality of life. Followers of Dyer and libraries with popular psychology readers will want to add this.

Good book - very readable - assumes certain mystical notions, December 16, 2005

I'm a complete sucker for Wayne Dyer. I like his more `practical' writings more than his increasingly spiritual bent but found lots of good stuff in this book. There's much truth to the idea that you make your own success and this book outlines many of the best ideas for creating the person that you want to be. The book focuses on your inner self rather than on exterior things and is based on the idea that thought creates reality. He assumes a certain belief in mystical notions of soul and being but I think the book is useful for anyone looking to `know thyself' better.

This book is abound with breathtaking insights, i had a look at it and liked the title as i was beginning a study on prosperity, because in my life there was a lot of financial uncertainties and believed a lot of rubbish about succeding, from this book i learned to affirm myself and the world around me, as i realised that prosperity is not about who raised you, what your career and level is, but upon the level of faith and spiritual savvy which is easily obtainable if one only asked for it.

There are a lot of other sub-topics cavered in the book with a view for readers to gain transformation which is a requisite to achieving it, some of the exercises are kinder troublesome, like forgiveness, which is almost impossible for a majority of us people, but as we learn in the book, lack of forgivenss is one of the final blocks that can curb transformation.

I also gained a little bit of understanding of some of the concepts introduced in the Matrix movies in this book.
